My earliest memories are spending time in my grandmother’s silver studio watching her work and later, learning some of the basics of fabricating silver under her watchful eye. Inspirations for my art come from different sources… the oral histories, stories and collective family memories, as well as my own personal explorations. While I am proud of the continuing body of work represented by my fine art flutes, the opportunity to bridge my artistic mediums of fine art flutes and jewelry presented itself with a request for silver and inlay work on a custom flute. In short, I expanded into jewelry by simply not saying no. I describe my jewelry as “Contemporary designs from a place of tradition,” unique designs derived from fabricating and casting that clearly reflect traditional Native elements, yet are designed for every day. I want my clients to feel connected, through my designs, to tradition, while enhancing their vision of cultural identity and pride.

"Tim Blueflint has designed many pieces for me, both jewelry and flutes. Each is special, elegant, unique and meaningful. He creates with meticulous attention to detail, and each piece is infused with his care and creative passion. His contemporary designs are deeply rooted and grounded... a reflection of his Native American tradition and upbringing.
I have been delighted and enthralled with Tim's jewelry since my very first piece. My go-to jeweler is Blueflint Custom Native Jewelry." -C.W., Indianapolis, IN
